With all members present the Haleyville Board of Education approved the following:
 
The minutes of the special meeting on 5/28/09, the special meeting on 6/19/09, and the minutes of the regular session meeting on 6/23/09.
 
Board Expenditures for May 2009 in the amount of $1,259,800.70.
 
Substitute teacher list.
 
Field trip request for senior class to attend Senior Educational Tour to Washington, DC and New York City, NY May 15 – 22, 2010.
 
Field trip request for the Enrichment Class to attend the Dauphin Island Sea lab September 16 – 18, 2009.
 
Bid for copier paper to Paper & Chemical Supply in the amount of $28.95 per case of 8.5x11 and $42.04 per case of 8.5x14 effective 8/01/09 through 12/31/09.
 
Bid for janitorial supplies to the lowest bidder, item by item effective8/01/09 through 7/31/10.
 
White and wheat bread bids for the 2009 – 2010 school year to Piggly Wiggly of Haleyville with the following prices: White Sandwich Bread 24oz $1.13; White Hamburger Buns 8 pack $1.10; White Hotdog Buns 8 pack $1.10; White Steak Buns 6 pack $2.39; Wheat Sandwich Bread 20oz $1.50; Wheat Hamburger Buns 8 pack $2.25; Wheat Hotdog Buns 8 pack $2.25; Wheat Steak Buns 6 pack $2.39.
 
Ice Cream bid for the 2009 – 2010 school year to Blue Bell Creameries with the following prices: ice cream sandwich (low-fat) $ .23; vanilla ice cream (low-fat) individual serve $ .19; strawberry ice cream (low-fat) individual serve $ .19; chocolate ice cream individual serve $ .19; sherberts variety of flavors individual serve $ .19; popsicles variety of flavors individual serve $ .18.
 
Milk bid the 2009 – 2010 school year to Barber's Dairy with the following prices: Grade A white (low-fat) - ½ pint $ .20; Grade A chocolate (low-fat) - ½ pint $ .20; Grade A strawberry (low-fat) - ½ pint $ .20; sweet tea individual serve 12oz $ .58.
 
Meal prices for the 2009 – 2010 school year with the following prices: full paid breakfast all schools $ .75; reduced breakfast all schools $ .30; faculty breakfast all schools$1.25; visiting adult breakfast $1.75. Full paid Elementary lunch $1.40; Full paid Middle School lunch $1.50; Full paid High School lunch $1.50; reduced lunch all schools $ .40; faculty lunch all schools $1.80; visiting adult lunch all schools $3.00 extra milk costs $ .30.

Elementary School Lunchroom to enter into contract with City of Haleyville Head Start to furnish up to 40 breakfast and lunches per day during for the 2009 – 2010 school year beginning 8/10/09 and ending5/28/10 at $2.00 per lunch per child, $1.00 per breakfast per child and $2.50 per staff lunch and $1.50 per staff breakfast.
 
High School Lunchroom to enter int contract with Winston/Marion ARC to furnish up to 40 lunches per day during for the 2009 – 2010 school year beginning 8/10/09 and ending 5/28/10 at a rate of $3.00 per lunch.
 
Accepting Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company as our Student and Athletic Accident insurance for the 2009 – 2010 school year.
 
Personnel Salary Schedule for the 2009 – 2010 school year.

HHS Senior Class to have Yearly magazine sales August 10, 2009 through August 30, 2009.
 
Varsity Cheerleaders to conduct Mini cheerleader Camp August 24, 2009 through August 26, 2009.
 
Varsity Cheerleaders to sell booster badges on Fridays during football season all schools August 28, 2009 through October 30, 2009.
 
Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders to sell Smencils (Smelly Pencils) at all schools August 10, 2009 through June 1, 2010.
 
HMS Library to sell a shelf of books in memory or honor of someone.
 
 
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Haleyville Board of Education will be Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 7:00 in the library of the Middle School with a Work Session before. A called session of the Board may be necessary and if so, proper notice will be given.
