Rotary Club Sponsors Dinner Sept 10th
The Haleyville Rotary Club will sponsor a dinner on Friday, September 10 before the Haleyville vs. Dora football game. The Rotary-Renaissance Supper will be held at Haleyville Middle School, with curbside service available on the 20th street side. Plates will be $10 which includes steak, baked potato, slaw, roll, and drink. Meal will be catered by Captain Dave's Steak and Seafood.

Welcome Back for the 2010-2011 School Year!
School begins on 8-9-2010 and students should make every effort to be at school early on the first day. Like Dr. Clint Baggett always says, "If you can't be on time be early!"
First Day Information
8:00 Grades 10-12 report to the gym for an assembly.
Grade 9 report to the cafeteria
8:50 Students report to homeroom for further instruction.

HES Class Lists and HES Orientation
HES Class lists will be posted and 4th and 5th grade schedules given out beginning at 7 AM, Thursday, July 29.
HES Orientation will be Thursday, August 5, 2010:
- 4:30 (5th in Lunchroom & 2nd in Library)
- 5:15 (4th in Lunchroom & 3rd in Library)
- 6:00 (Kindergarten in Lunchroom & 1st in Library)
FOUR NEW TEACHERS COME ABOARD AT HMS
We want to welcome Mr. Senn Williams to our HMS faculty. Mr. Williams will be teaching 7th grade Pre-Algebra and is excited about being here. He will also help coach basketball and baseball. He taught for three years at Philips High School before making themove to become a Haleyville Lion. He has a wife, Shae, and two boys Trent and Trey. Trey will be in the tenth grade playing for the Lions this year.
2010-11 SCHOOL YEAR ON THE HORIZON
The 2010-11 school year will begin on August 4th for teachers. Students will report on August 9th. There will be no breakfast on opening day, so please make other arrangements. Lunch prices will be $1.40 for lunch ($0.40 for reduced). Breakfast will be $0.75 ($0.30 for reduced). Both 6th and 7th grade teachers have created a supply list. These lists are located around town at local businesses. You may also pick one up in the office or on locker rental days.
Freshman Academy Openhouse Bar-B-Q, New Student Registration & Lockers
The freshman orientation/open house/Bar-B-Q will be Thursday July 29 at 5:30. Please come by and see the facilities and meet the teachers.
New student registration July 26th, 9th grade Bar-B-Q (Free Food), July 29th & Locker rentals...
New student registration for Haleyville High School will be Monday, July 26th 2010 from 9:00am until 3:00pm. New students will need to bring proof of residency, birth certificate, proof of immunization (blue card), social security card and grades from school last attended.
Lockers will be $10 this year.
Locker rental schedule will be as follows
10-11 grades Monday July 26th 9:00-10:00
School will be starting back soon!
Teachers return to school on August 4th and students return on August 9th.
